Our Story

Bogota Press Cafe has definitely been a labor of love. Owners, Sherry and Eric Solomov, bonded over their passion of food and the restaurant industry from their very first date. Together, they became award-winning restaurateurs. In the midst of growing their family, they started Brooklyn Burgers & Beer located in the heart of Park Slope, Brooklyn which they sold a few years back. Under their ownership, the burgers quickly became famous and now (under new ownership) are going on their 4th year of being named “The Best Burger in Brooklyn”. After moving to Bogota, NJ and veering off to another field, they found themselves missing something. As they experimented on their culinary concoctions, they realized their hearts will always be in the restaurant industry. This realization is what brought The Bogota Press to life. They realized the little town of Bogota, that they loved so much, was lacking in the cafe department. They quickly came up with a concept, menu, and community atmosphere catering to their beloved residents. Partnering with the already established Illy Coffee, Balthazar Bakery, and Patisserie Florentine, they knew they had a concept their neighbors would love. Combining an artisan touch to comfort food items and adding a welcoming casual vibe seemed very fitting for their tight-knit town. After almost two years of building from scratch, they are excited to offer employment to youth in Bogota along with perks to town staff and residents.
